Get mental health support to navigate college life with confidence.
ONLINE THERAPY FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS IN CALIFORNIA
Learn how to manage stress, explore who you are and lay the foundation for a successful future.
Growing up, you probably heard college described as “the best years of your life” …
… but now that you’re in it, you can’t help but think that parts of it are way more overwhelming, isolating and stressful than you ever expected.
That sort of experience is so much more common than you think!
In this season of life, you’re learning how to navigate academic demands, constant social expectations, loneliness and all the new #adulting responsibilities that come along with increased independence.
On top of that, you might feel like the choices you make now – in terms of majors, career paths, relationships or friendships – are going to determine the rest of your life.
And for many, that kind of pressure can feel debilitating.
Our mental health is often one of the things that can really suffer during our time in college.
But it doesn’t have to be that way!
My goal is to create a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can be yourself – without pressure or social expectations.
I want to help you gain insight into your emotions, thoughts and behavior patterns and develop strategies to navigate this stage with more clarity, confidence and self-trust.

ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Justine Gordon, LMFT - your college student therapist in California!
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) providing virtual therapy for students across California. My approach blends evidence-based methods like CBT, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy & EFT. I don’t believe in giving you all the answers. Instead, I work to create a collaborative, judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns with compassion and curiosity.
I balance my thoughtful, evidence-based approach with warmth, humor and authenticity because I believe therapy should feel both effective and deeply human. Clients often describe me as kind, open and attentive. I value asking meaningful questions, listening without assumptions and creating a sense of lightness in the room – even when we’re talking about hard things.
My own path to becoming a therapist was anything but linear. I studied dance, pursued pre-med and medical school and eventually found my true calling in psychotherapy. Because of this, I value a truly holistic approach to mental health, one that includes a balanced lifestyle, movement and healthy eating alongside therapy.

What you can expect from working with me
HOW IT WORKS
We will start with a thorough assessment and exploration of your personal history. This collaborative process ensures that we identify the most suitable treatment approaches tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll establish clear goals and develop a comprehensive plan, while leaving room to address any pressing concerns that may come up.
Your Free Consultation
We will begin our journey together with a free 20-minute consultation. During the call, you’ll have the opportunity to tell me about your situation, ask any questions and decide if I would be a good fit for you. This is a no-pressure and no-commitment opportunity to share what’s going on, get a sense of who I am and see if you’d like to work together.
Initial Assessment & Goal-Setting
Each session takes place online at a time that works for you and will be dedicated to progressing toward your goals, while blending the different evidence-based approaches that I use. Depending on where we are, a session might focus on exploration and insight, skill-building or real-life application, all within a safe, judgment-free space.
On-Going Therapy Sessions
Our work together is a partnership. We’ll regularly check in on your progress, adjust your plan as needed and reflect on what is and isn’t working. As you meet your goals, we’ll celebrate wins and decide on your next steps – whether that’s regular maintenance sessions or a thoughtful close with an action plan to help you keep your momentum on your own.
