Therapy for Pregnancy & Postpartum in Los Angeles & across California

Virtual perinatal and postpartum therapist helping you navigate pregnancy anxiety, postpartum anxiety, new motherhood identity shifts, comparison and overwhelm in Los Angeles, California.

Pregnancy and early parenthood are often described as some of the most meaningful moments in life, but they can also feel disorienting and overwhelming …

Before the baby is born your hormones and physical body are changing, you worry about the future and wonder how your life will change and if you will be the parent you want to be.

After the baby, you move through the daze of sleepless nights trying to function while completely exhausted. Some days blur together as you care for a baby while also trying to take care of yourself.

You notice yourself comparing constantly; how other new parents seem to be doing, how their babies sleep, how they appear to handle everything with ease.

At the same time, your identity shifts. You are no longer exactly who you were before becoming a parent, and the new version of yourself is still being discovered.

That in-between space can feel confusing and lonely.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

Together, we’ll slow things down and make space for the full range of emotions that can come with pregnancy and early parenthood. We may explore the expectations you placed on yourself, the pressures you’re feeling, and the ways this transition may be stirring up old patterns or self-doubt.

Over time, I will help you feel more grounded, more supported, and more connected to yourself as you navigate this new chapter.

You deserve to move through motherhood/fatherhood feeling supported, understood, and confident. Therapy can help you get there, and I am whole-heartedly committed to supporting you through this transition.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Justine Gordon - your new mom therapist and maternal mental health specialist in California!

You might have imagined pregnancy or becoming a parent would feel grounding, something that would bring clarity or certainty. Instead, it feels overwhelming, disorienting, or heavier than expected. The physical, emotional, and identity shifts can leave you wondering if you’ve lost touch with who you used to be, even as you’re trying to care for your baby and step into this new role.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, California, and I support individuals through the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, mood changes, relationship shifts, or simply not feeling like yourself, you don’t have to go through it alone.

I truly believe my clients have the ability to find their own sense of clarity and inner knowing; it just takes space, support, and time to reconnect with it. I create a collaborative, judgment-free environment where you can slow down, feel supported, and make sense of what you’re going through. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and emotions with compassion and curiosity, bringing clarity, relief, and even moments of lightness within a challenging time.
