Therapy for Imposter Syndrome & Self-Doubt in Los Angeles, California
Virtual therapy to help ambitious adults in Los Angeles & California who appear capable on the outside but are constantly second-guessing themselves on the inside
If you’ve found your way here, you’ve likely reached a point where the self-doubt is no longer just frustrating, it’s actively holding you back from building the life you want.
Maybe you have big ambitions that you know you’re capable of achieving but you feel like you’re holding yourself back with overthinking, fear and your lack of confidence.
Or maybe you’ve already achieved meaningful success but you still find yourself questioning whether you’re truly good enough.
You keep telling yourself that if you wait a little longer, you’ll finally feel ready. That if you think it through just one more time, you’ll be certain it’s the right move. That once you reach the next big milestone, you’ll finally be good enough to feel confident in yourself.
But instead, the self-doubt and imposter syndrome keep following you. And you’re starting to wonder if no amount of achievement will ever quiet the voice in your mind that says you’re not enough.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
⟡ You shrink yourself in rooms where you actually belong
⟡ You may look successful on the outside but are secretly waiting to be “found out”
⟡ You overthink decisions until you feel stuck or unable to act
⟡ You compare yourself to people who seem more confident or further ahead
⟡ You’re always assuming everyone else knows what they’re doing except you
⟡ You feel anxious when things are going well, like there is no way it will last
⟡ You tell yourself confidence will come later but it never quite does
Therapy for self-doubt and imposter syndrome can help!
You don’t have to keep living in a cycle of self-doubt, overthinking and holding yourself back from what you’re capable of. If you’ve finally had enough and you’re ready for things to actually change, therapy can be a great space to help you understand what’s driving these patterns and begin shifting them at the root so you can actually move forward with more self-trust and confidence in who you are.
Getting therapy for self doubt & imposter syndrome can help …
Therapy for self-doubt and imposter syndrome isn’t about “just being more confident.” It’s about understanding why your mind keeps questioning you (even when you’re capable) and learning how to respond to that voice differently so it no longer runs the show.
✔ Understand where your self-doubt patterns come from and why they keep showing up
✔ Learn to move through fear & self-doubt without letting it stop you from taking action
✔ Quiet the inner critic that makes you second-guess yourself or overthinking
✔ Stop downplaying your achievements and actually start internalizing your wins
✔ Build real self-trust so no longer need constant reassurance or over-analysis
✔ Reduce procrastination and avoidance driven by fear of getting it wrong
✔ Stop comparing yourself to others and feeling like you’re always behind or not enough
HOW I CAN HELP YOU
My approach to therapy for self-doubt and imposter syndrome
My approach is warm, collaborative and focused on really getting to the root of your self-doubt and imposter syndrome, not just managing them on the surface.
Chances are that you are very capable and driven, but stuck in patterns of overthinking, second-guessing and not fully trusting yourself, even when things are going well in your life.
In our sessions, I can help you slow things down and begin to understand why your mind defaults to doubt and what’s keeping that cycle in place. From there, we work on shifting it in a way that feels real and lasting.
The goal isn’t to eliminate self-doubt completely, it's to stop letting it run your decisions and your sense of self, so you can finally go after the life you’ve been trying to build wholeheartedly.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Justine Gordon - your new imposter syndrome & self-doubt therapist in Los Angeles, California!
I work with ambitious adults who are ready to stop getting stuck in cycles of self-doubt and start building a more steady, self-trusting relationship with themselves.
Before becoming a therapist, I understood firsthand what it feels like to carry a lot of internal pressure while still trying to succeed on the outside. Growing up in a high-achieving environment, I experienced how easily ambition can become tied to identity, and how quickly self-doubt, overthinking, and pressure start to feel like the norm.
Over time, both personally and in my work with clients, I came to understand that these patterns don’t simply disappear with more success. In order for real, meaningful change to happen, they need to be understood and worked through at the root. This is what I aim to offer in my work with clients.
Aside from imposter syndrome & self doubt, I also work with clients to help them navigate other struggles related to their ambition, such as burnout & chronic stress, perfectionism, high-pressure careers, anxiety & overthinking as well as relationship challenges and postpartum challenges.
