Pregnancy & Postpartum Therapy for New Moms in Los Angeles, California
Virtual therapy for ambitious women in Los Angeles & California navigating pregnancy, postpartum, identity changes and the emotional pressure of motherhood
If you’ve found your way here, chances are motherhood has brought up emotions and parts of yourself you weren’t really expecting.
Maybe you spent years building a life, career or identity that felt deeply important to you, only to suddenly feel like everything has shifted underneath you during pregnancy or postpartum.
Or maybe you imagined this chapter would only feel joyful and fulfilling, but instead you feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally stretched thin or unlike yourself.
You may find yourself constantly overthinking decisions, struggling to slow down, feeling guilty no matter what you do or wondering why something so wonderful can also feel so hard.
For ambitious women especially, pregnancy and postpartum can bring up a complicated mix of pressure, loss of control, identity shifts and unrealistic expectations around “doing it all” while still trying to hold onto yourself in the process.
And underneath all of that is often a quieter fear: that you’re somehow failing your child, falling behind or not handling motherhood the way you “should” be.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
⟡ You feel overwhelmed by the mental, physical & emotional demands of motherhood
⟡ You constantly question whether you’re doing enough or making the “right” decisions
⟡ You feel pressure to keep up with work, productivity or who you were before having a baby
⟡ You miss the version of yourself that felt more independent, confident or in control
⟡ You’ve lost touch with yourself and aren’t fully sure who you are outside of being a mom
⟡ You feel isolated or lonely, even when surrounded by people who love you
⟡ You keep telling yourself you “should” be able to handle this better than you are
IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY
Pregnancy & postpartum therapy for new moms can help!
Pregnancy and postpartum can bring enormous emotional and identity shifts, especially when you’re used to being the person who holds everything together. Therapy can offer a space where you no longer have to carry all of the pressure silently or feel like you need to figure it all out on your own. Together, we can help you process this transition so you can move through motherhood feeling more supported, more confident and more connected to yourself again.
THE BENEFITS OF THERAPY
What starts to change when you no longer feel like you have to carry everything alone

MY APPROACH
Therapy to help ambitious women navigate pregnancy & postpartum
My approach is warm, collaborative and focused on creating a space where you can exhale a little and stop feeling like you have to hold everything together perfectly.
Chances are you are incredibly thoughtful, capable and driven, but find yourself overwhelmed by the emotional, physical and identity shifts that pregnancy and motherhood can bring.
In our sessions, my hope is to help you explore the deeper patterns, pressures and expectations surrounding motherhood that may be contributing to what you’re feeling while also helping you reconnect with yourself underneath all of the noise and responsibility.
The goal isn’t to help you “do more” or become a perfect mother. It’s to help you feel more supported, grounded and emotionally connected to yourself so you can move through this entirely new season of life with more confidence and peace.
ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Justine Gordon, your new pregnancy & postpartum therapist in Los Angeles, California!
I work with ambitious women who are navigating the emotional complexity, pressure and identity changes that can come with becoming a mother.
As both a therapist and mother myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when the version of yourself you once relied on suddenly feels harder to access. Motherhood has a way of bringing old patterns, pressure and self-expectations to the surface in ways many women don’t anticipate.
Over time, both personally and in my work with clients, I came to understand that struggling during pregnancy or postpartum doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. Often, it means you’re carrying far more than anyone can see from the outside. This is the work I now help my clients move through.
Aside from pregnancy & postpartum challenges, I also help clients navigate perfectionism & people-pleasing, burnout & chronic stress, imposter syndrome, high-functioning anxiety as well as relationship challenges.
